New waste service in Smedjebacken

From May 2024, we are introducing changes to waste collections, including new containers and collections for your packaging, newspapers and recycled paper as well as food waste and residual waste. These changes will make it easier for you to recycle more from home, help to improve the quality of the recycling we collect and reduce the impact of waste collections on our environment.

Sorting waste in the correct manner

Handling the waste is an environmental effort that begins at your home. You sort the waste based on the material it consists of and make sure it is put in the right place. We on our side, handle the waste and recycle it in the best possible way. Your food waste becomes biogas and bio fertilizer. Your old packaging is recycled into new packaging. Newspapers and recycled paper might become tomorrow's newspapers and your residual waste is converted into energy.

We want future generations to have the same opportunities as we have been given. By sorting and recycling more, we make a difference for the environment and the climate both today and in the future.

Together, we make sure to maximize the benefits of raw materials and energy, at the same time as we are saving on the world's resources.
